A Compact Grill for Small Backyards and Patios

Cook outside, then fold it away so it doesn't take over your yard.

For Homes With Room to Spare

This page is for people with a yard, driveway, or patio at a house who want a grill that doesn't live permanently in the middle of the space. A folding body and wheels let you move it to the garage or shed after use. Exact folded size will be listed once confirmed.

Apartments, condos, and balconies

Many fire codes ban using or storing charcoal and gas grills on balconies or near multi-unit buildings, and leases or HOAs can be stricter. FoldSear is designed for outdoor use in open areas like yards and patios of houses. If you live in an apartment or condo, check your local fire code and lease before buying any grill.

Weeknight dinner

Gas startup for quick burgers or chicken.

Weekend cookout

Charcoal for more smoky flavor.

Sunday brunch

Griddle side for pancakes and eggs.

Placement and Being a Good Neighbor

Keep the grill on a level surface, away from fences, eaves, and flammable items. Many fire codes require distance from structures; the minimum spacing for this model will be listed from the owner's manual. Charcoal produces more smoke than gas, so be mindful of neighbors and wind direction.

FAQ

Backyard and patio questions

Can I use it on a balcony?

Check your local fire code and lease first. Many multi-unit buildings prohibit charcoal and gas grills on balconies.

Is it too small for a family?

The cooking area is being confirmed and will be listed before launch. It runs as a grill, griddle, sear, and braise in one unit.

Can I leave it outside?

Outdoor storage and rain-cover guidance for this model is still being confirmed. For now, plan to fold and store it in a garage or shed after use.

Gas or charcoal for the backyard?

Use gas for speed and charcoal when you want more smoky flavor. See the dual-fuel page, and our propane guide for tank sizes.
